Ahead of the 79th World Health Assembly, Anders Nordström joined Pete Baker from the Center for Global Development for a Devex Pro Briefing on what WHO needs to do to remain relevant in a rapidly changing global health landscape.

Both agreed that no institution can replace WHO, but that significant reform is urgent. The conversation highlighted three areas where change is needed: a refocus on core functions, a rethink of WHO's geographic structure, and an overhaul of its financing model.
