Croatia Hosts First-Ever Health Diplomacy Course at the University of Split

The University of Split successfully hosted Croatia’s first Health Diplomacy course, a joint effort by its Faculty of Economics and School of Medicine. The course is part of the postgraduate specialist program in the Management of Health Organizations.
Held in late June 2025, the program combined practical training in diplomatic skills with engaging lectures in Split, Croatia, and a field visit to WHO and UN offices in Geneva, Switzerland.
Special guest speaker Prof. Anders Nordström (Karolinska Institutet) shared global insights alongside an impressive group of faculty which included some other members of the Health Diplomacy Institutional Network.
The course marked a step forward in building global health leadership in Croatia, with more to come in 2026.
