To address increasingly complex global public health challenges and strengthen China’s core capacity in global health governance, the “Global Health Diplomacy Executive Training Course” was successfully held from July 14 to 18, 2025, co-hosted by the Institute for Global Health, Peking University (PKU) and the Department of Global Health, PKU School of Public Health.

The program brought together 23 participants from national and local health authorities—professionals with experience in international health cooperation and exchange.

This initiative, jointly organized by the National Health Commission of China and the WHO, aimed to equip participants with knowledge and practical skills in global health diplomacy. The training focused on enhancing capabilities in policy research, international health project management, and strategic negotiations, while deepening participants’ understanding of global health governance systems, international health regulations, and diplomatic strategies. Ultimately, the program supports China’s strategic engagement in global health governance, fostering active participation in negotiations and initiatives, and contributing to the vision of a global community of health for all.
